Share on Twitter Share on Facebook 3 min readAn online World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet event was canceled on Tuesday after it didn't draw enough entrants to start.
The $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller was part of a fall bracelet series on WSOP Online running Sept. 29-Nov. 12 and was open to players on the Michigan-New Jersey-Nevada network. It needed eight players to begin and only had four entrants before the tournament's 7 p.m. Eastern start time.
One of the four players registered was Michigan's Mike "mkstr" Setera, who posted screenshots on X of the tournament lobby and a pop-up announcement.
"WSOP Bracelet Event #13 - NL Hold'em High Roller Tournament #177149721 has been canceled," the pop-up reads. "Your account has been credited with $5300."

Setera, a 12-time Circuit ring winner, told PokerNewsthat there were a few satellites to the event, but none that ended before the start time. He and others on social media were shocked to see an event for the "most coveted prize in poker" be canceled.
Two-time WSOP.com NV/NJ Player of the Year Mike "BrockLesnar" Holtz, a co-host of the PokerNewsPodcast, was among those who criticized WSOP for the cancelation.

The online bracelet series has already produced notable winners, including author and recent Life Outside Poker guest Maria Konnikova, who took down the previous event for her first bracelet and $68,478.
If shared liquidity is a problem on the Michigan-New Jersey-Nevada network, it is good news that Pennsylvania is joining the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA). Still, the state is at least several months out from bringing its nearly 13 million residents to the shared player pool.
There are dozens more opportunities to win a bracelet in the WSOP Online series, with upcoming highlights including a $3,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Championship, $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 6-Max Championship and a $500 PLO Mystery Bounty 6-Max event with a $200,000 guarantee.
