A basic tactic is to concentrate on creating sequences at the beginning of the game. A player holding a 5 of hearts & a 6 of hearts, for example, could draw a 7 of hearts to complete a sequence. Sets, on the other hand, require specific ranks that might be more difficult to obtain.
