Two to six players can participate in the game, and each player starts with a certain number of cards. One card is set face-up as the discard pile next to the remainingslots crash cards, which form a face-down draw pile. It is a turn-based game where players draw from either pile & discard one card from their hand. Luck, strategy, and skill must all be combined to win at Rummy Gold. In order to create sets and sequences as effectively as possible, players must choose which cards to keep and which to discard.
