With three players remaining, Sklenicka held a big chip lead with around 60,000,000 chips. He moved all in from the button holding 8♠7♣. In the small blind, Jun Obara picked up K♠K♦and called off his stack of just under 10 million. From the big blind, Daniel Rezaei looked down at 10♦10♣, thought it over, and called off his final five million to set up a massive three-way all-in.

The flop came K♥8♦7♥, putting Obara as the huge favorite with top set. According to the PokerNews equity calculator, Obara’s chances of winning the hand stood at 96.12%.

The turn brought the 8♥, improving Obara and Sklenicka to full houses and confirming Rezaei’s elimination in third place. But Sklenicka was still drawing live to the case eight for quads.

Sklenicka called for an eight ahead of the dealer completing the board and remarkbly the 8♣peeled off on the river, completing the four-of-a-kind for Sklenicka to seal the Championship victory.

'I Told Everyone I'm Winning This'

The Wynn Summer Classic has quickly become a staple of the summer poker calendar, offering players major buy-in events outside of the World Series of Poker. "I had no doubts. I've worked on my game for like 15 years so it was kind of easy for me because I've been doing it for so long."

"The dealer did his job," he said about his winning hand. "K-7-8 flop, not in great shape, you need runner-runner. Turn is an eight and I knew it was done. When the turn is an eight, it's one out but for me, it's like 100% it's going to come."

For Sklenicka, the win marks the biggest cash of his career and pushes his lifetime live tournament earnings past $5 million, according to The Hendon Mob. It also serves as a form of redemption for the Czech player, who finished runner-up in the inaugural WSOP Paradise Main Event in December 2023 for $1.2 million. On that occasion, Stanislav Zegal claimed the title and $2 million top prize.
