The WSOP Circuit Caesars Southern Indiana is the penultimate festival on the 2024/2025 season of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC).

The festival came to an end yesterday after 12 days of poker action, bringing us almost to the end of the season.

Being hosted by one of the smaller venues on the circuit, turnout was modest. Much of the series was overshadowed by the ongoing WSOP Circuit Commerce, a larger event that ran in parallel with the Indiana festival and continues until May 25.

However, the action at Caesars Southern Indiana still produced some great action.

Highlights At The WSOP Circuit Southern Indiana

There was plenty to take stock of as the tournament staff packed up the tournament chips early on Tuesday morning.

For example, Christopher Wilson won back-to-back events. The rings he earned for his victories were his first and second WSOPC rings ever.

Pam Belote
Pam Belote is the woman with the most WSOPC rings.

The women's record holder for highest total of rings won, Pam Belote, ran deep in the women's event.

She made it all the way to second place before being knocked out by Susan Murphey during heads up play.

However, the biggest of the stories from this festival was, of course, the Main Event.

Ulises Roman's Voyage To Main Event Victory

Ulises Roman
Ulises Roman at a previous event.

Ulises Roman won his first WSOPC ring in the truncated WSOP Circuit Caesars Southern Indiana$1,700 No Limit Hold'em Main Event. The two Day 1 flights had attracted 250 entries, making for a total war-chest of $378,750 and putting $84,399 up top.

Roman's voyage home was kept from turning into a three-day Odyssey when the tournament director opted to keep the action going on Day 2. The tournament played down to a winner instead of bleeding into a scheduled Day 3.

By the end of the day, Roman razed the topless towers of his opponents' stacks and took the ring home.

However, it took some wiles to get there as Roman found himself seated with several heroically tough WSOPC veterans at the final table.

Trace Henderson
Trace Henderson came second.

“It was tough because even though I didn’t know their names, I knew they were regulars,” Roman told WSOP.com. “There were like six good players who visit the Circuit.”

Among the final survivors, were Trace Henderson and Bradford Albrinck, both of whom have three WSOPC rings to each of their names.

Henderson and Albrinck were the last two players that Roman had to take down. Albrinck took third place for $38,898 and Henderson second for $56,658.

What Else Is Happening On The Circuit?

Kevin Li
Kevin Li wins the WSOP TOC at the Commerce.

We're in the final days of the 2024/2025 WSOPC season. Only the WSOP Circuit Commerce is still to finish up.

The 2024/2025 WSOP Tournament of Champions is over, having played out as part of the festival at the Commerce.

Kevin Li wears the crown, collecting $200,000 for his work. Li earned his spot in the TOC after winning a $600 pot limit Omaha ring event in Calgary, Canada back in August 2024.

The WSOP Circuit Commerce will wrap up on May 25. That is just in time for the 2025 World Series of Poker to start. Once the big one is underway, the WSOP should start feeding us details of what to look forward to on the 2025/2026 WSOPC calendar.
