Teach rose quickly in the world of pirates. He joined the renowned pirate Benjamin Hornigold's crew and soon proved to be a skilled navigator &rummy new apps tactician. Teach took command of his ship and crew after Hornigold accepted a pardon and stopped pirating. He christened the ship Queen Anne's Revenge and set out on his own as a pirate. The Queen Anne's Revenge developed into a potent force in the Caribbean under Teach's direction.
