Each player receives a hand of cards at the start of the game. Starting with the top card turned face-up, the discard pile is started, and thrummy 51 apke remaining cards form the draw pile. Each player draws one card from either pile, after which they each discard one card from their hand. A player must arrange all of their cards into sets and runs and declare "Rummy" in order to win a round. When this happens, the round is over.
