A set number of cards are dealt to each player at the start of the game, depending on the variant. The top card is turned face up to begin the discard pile, and the remaining cards are arslots win loginranged face down to form the draw pile. Each player starts their turn by selecting the top card from the discard pile or drawing a card from the draw pile. After that, they have to discard one card from their hand by setting it on top of the discard pile. Players keep trying to form runs & sets in this manner until one player "goes out" by laying down all of their cards.
